Dr. Mark Williams is a gifted and dynamic speaker. Whether serving as a keynote/motivational speaker or workshop facilitator, he leaves his audience invigorated and charged for action. Williams expertly interweaves his personal, spiritual, and professional experiences and expertise to deliver memorable orations and teachings.

Dr. Mark is the ninth of ten sons born to his parents. At the age of 19 years, he lost his father and brother in a boating accident. A tenacity for success inspired Mark to transform this devastating tragedy into triumph. While dealing with the grief of his loss, he changed his undergraduate major from Biology to Mortuary Science and became a funeral director/embalmer. This single decision changed the entire trajectory of Mark’s life. As a funeral director, Williams learned the importance of mentorship in facilitating success. He was unofficially adopted by the owner of the funeral home where he worked. This father figure and mentor encouraged Williams to pursue his life-long dream of becoming a surgeon and supported him along the way.

Just over one year after marrying his high school sweetheart and months after the birth of their first child, Williams matriculated at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. There, his research garnered him several prestigious & exclusive fellowship awards. He became only the second African-American to graduate from the Physician-Scientist Training Program, obtaining both his medical doctorate (M.D.) and a doctorate of philosophy (Ph.D.) in Pharmacology & Cell Biophysics.

After completing his training in Otolaryngology, he relocated to Nashville, TN where he founded the Voice Care Center of Nashville. Dr. William’s, a recording artist himself, is frequently invited to speak to other singers about the care of the voice. Having released two award-winning CD recordings, Williams added another feather in his cap as an author. In June 2020 he released his first book, entitled When A Man Worships.
